Eric This year's trip was a good one. It was great to have Andre at the camp when we arrived. Good to get updated on the activities in and around Timmins and the camp. Also Andre guided us to Kasasway the next morning. David and I had fun canoeing and catching 15 fish on a sunny day!
Also good to see Eddy out at the camp. I skipped the evening fish. I was out on the water twice that day and chose to avoid the bugs. Overall the weather was good. It was a little too hot and humid the last two days, but it could always be worse. Looking forward to a nice summer and I hope everyone has a good one!

This year's version of FishingPals marked the largest gang to date.  With Sean (son of Peter) joining the crew this year, we were a group of nine.  We had another successful outing at Kasasway Lake, with enough bass to feed the entire group.  It still is a little rough getting into that lake, but well worth the trouble as the fishing always seems to be excellent.  If you need fish, that's where you go...  I think Eric and I cleaned enough bass to last two seasons.  We did a little off-roading in the Trackers, and eventually got stopped by some trees we couldn't conquer.  The pike wontons were quite tasty with the dipping sauces, as well as in the soup --- good job by Rick, Andrew, David and Sean.  The 'not so hot' hot tub got an upgrade and now it looks like it could get pretty hot.  Fishing on Sashihaw was ok this year, with a few nice sized walleye, but a never ending supply of pike.  The mosquitoes were fierce, but nothing that lighting a PIC couldn't take care of...

Andre and Eddy were able to join us for a few days.  The starter on the generator died, so we had to get the backup generator running.  We saw a bear and a moose.  The Smoked Bass turned out great and provided a nice alternative to our regular cooking techniques.  Also, the rest of our meals turned out great.  The FishingPals are always willing to step it up when it comes to our dinners.  Another successful year, and we can already start looking forward to next year.

Peter Good to have Sean with us on his first ever FishingPals expedition. Really good day at Kasasway which, as usual, yielded a nice string of bass. Thanks to Andre for the hard work of pulling the boats and gear together for us. It was good to see David and Sean finally put my Jeep Wrangler through some off road trials. Food was great including the new addition of smoked bass to the menu. Rick’s strategy of bouncing his lure off the trees didn’t appear to be too successful. Definitely a good trip. Hope to see everyone next year.
