I would say this year's trip was another successful outing for the FishingPals. We were met by Andre, Richard and Kenzie, and we had a Pickerel Party on Sashihaw on the first night! We followed that up with a trip to Kasasway, and ventured off Upper Kasasway to the lower part of the lake. Although we didn't have much luck on the new water, we were able to redeem ourselves by snagging a few on our way back on Upper Kasasway. On our way out, we met up with Superfan, Ben. We're still not sure how he recognized us as we looked like any other group of fishermen. Shout out to Ben!!
As well as fishing, we were able to fill our downtime with tasks around the camp. Andrew was able to do a complete brake job on his car, and we assisted Andre to stack up some more firewood. Our IKEA skills were put to the test by assembling some furniture for the camp as well as for the latest project, the Paramount Pontoon! Should be interesting to see when completed...
The fishing was good, and we caught fish on every outing. Guy, Fern and Robbie showed up to do a little fishing with the boys, and take part in our fishing derby. I was fortunate enough to catch the biggest pickerel. Question: If you went fishing and you didn't have any minnows, would you quit? No! Believe it or not, you can catch fish without minnows!
The weather was great, the sauna was great, having a shower was great, eating fish was great, eating moose and deer on the rocket stove was great... All in all, this was one of our more successful trips. Until next year gentlemen...
