FishingPals 2025

Firewood Bonanza

This year's edition was missing a couple of the regulars, but the rest of the crew continued to march on. This year we went to Sudbury via highway 400 to 69 (instead of 11 to North Bay). We were greeted at the camp by Andre, Richard and Kenzie, and after a brief unloading, we were able to get dinner in, and out for a night fish. It is evident that the fish stocks haven't been hurting as we had pretty good success bagging quite a few fish.

We had a day trip to Kasasway Lake, which really exposes a lot more water to fish. We didn't have much luck on Lower Kasasway but there is definitely a lot of water to explore there. We may be trying to get to Stackpool next year.

This year's trip was another success. The weather was good, and we had more than enough fish to eat. The camp improvements were quite notable, but not sure if we want to be bringing a Playstation. We were able to help out stacking some firewood, and putting together some furniture, and Andrew was able to do some car repair. All in all, we have a good thing going here and we will continue to keep the tradition going.
